Dinnertime Distraction

William has what we call the witching hour around 4-7 (yeah it's actually really three hours long) where he just is really tired and cranky (because he won't nap longer than 1 1/2 hrs in the afternoon on a good day). Today I was able to make dinner without the crankiness thanks to William's first biter biscuit. He devoured the thing! Though I did have to scrape a few chunks from the roof of his mouth...hmm..

He was rejoicing for the biter biscuit!

Halleluiah!! Thank you mommy!

Yum, yum!

What? Is there something on my chest?

Good stuff.

E is for...

Ella and I made this cute little elephant for the letter E. She let me paint her hand grey, she used her finger and black paint to make the eye, and glued on a big pink ear. I love this!

Then Ella said, "E is for...Ella!" so we had to make this one as well.

Fun stuff!

Sick and Unhappy...

William, Ella and I all have pretty miserable colds. It is no fun being sick! Ella is handling it pretty well, whereas William...not so much. He's not napping, he's waking up throughout the night and he's just in general... cranky. :( I even took him to the doctor thinking he could have developed an ear infection. But no, it's just a yucky cold.

William... doped up on tylenol.. :)

This has been a rare sight for the past few days.

Doesn't she look like a pro at the computer? She's playing sesame street games. She loves sesame street!

Daddy and the kids. I think I have maybe 3 pictures with my two. I need to get more pictures with them.

Hoping this cold ends for all of us real soon.

Our Craigslist Find

For some reason, Ella doesn't like the tricycle she got for her birthday. She won't get on it. (maybe, hopefully, that'll change this summer.) But when I saw this tricycle that goes for $90 on amazon on craigslist for $5 I couldn't pass it up. What an awesome find! And she loves it! She's been practicing riding around the kitchen. She's really getting the hang of pedaling!

Even Prince Tony got a ride in the back!

I'm ready for the nicer weather now.

Letter E

We're also doing the letter E this week. She colored then glued some envelopes onto a big piece of paper.

Ella also stuffed the envelopes with big E's and little e's. So we also talked about rectangles and squares (the little e's were on squares) since she sometimes confuses the two.

Can you tell the envelopes are in the shape of the letter E? :)

Ella enjoyed this a lot!

Marshmallow Snowman

I don't remember where I saw this cute craft, but I'll try to find the link.

Ella is all excited about the snow and Daddy keeps saying he'll take her out to build a snowman, so today we made our own tasty snowman. We practiced counting to twenty, and Ella liked that I let her pop one in her mouth every five marshmallows. She loooves marshmallows so I had to let her have a few as she worked. :)

Getting to eat a marshmallow!

She was so careful lining the snowman with the marshmallows...

He's now hanging on the fridge.

The marshmallows are now all hard and stale, but Ella still tells me she wants to eat them off. Haha :)

Sharp Little Teeth!

I finally got a good shot of William's razor sharp teeth coming in.

He, like his sister, likes to bite when he's done nursing. We're working on putting a stop to that!
