80 Degrees and Loving it!

Almost every day now we're outside enjoying this (hot, sticky, suffocating) beautiful weather. The sprinkler is proving to be a wonderful little invention.
Our next door neighbors have a little boy two weeks younger than William, and like Ella does to William, she's always hugging and kissing him. :)
These two are adorable playing together. Sophia is just three months younger and they're complete opposites.

I'm stocking up on sunscreen!

Here I am!

William follows me and Ella all over like a cute little puppy. After finishing taking the laundry out of the washing machine, William was happily occupied playing with the door for a good five minutes or so. :)

Simple pleasures.

First Haircut

We decided to try to just trim up William's hair in the front and get rid of his mullet. :) Rather, hubby decided to take this little task into his hands.

William, the calm before the storm...
Apparently it was very traumatizing.

But the after is so cute. He looks like a new boy! And doesn't he also look a lot older now!? Not really liking that part of it!

His hair across his forehead is mostly straight, even though it doesn't appear that way in this photo. :) Hubby did well, but we might try to take him somewhere when the next haircut comes around and see how they do. :)

When William attacks...

Here's William sitting all happy playing with some tupperware on the kitchen floor.
After noticing me with camera in hand, he must charge after me and get the camera.
Climbing up me, intent on getting my camera... Thus making picture taking for me no fun.

Like a little deer in headlights. I remember this phase with Ella when it was hard to get pictures of her since she was constantly attacking me and the camera. And, of course, William gets very upset when I don't let him play with my Nikon. I wish I could figure out a way to let him let me take his picture.

My Sweet Girl

Ella is so much fun. She laughs constantly and it's completely contagious. When I'm in a funk, she sure knows how to get me out of it.

I love this girl so much! She's becoming such a little person with such a wonderful little personality. She has this new walk that she does too, just to make us laugh. Remember the chicken walk? Now she does the hip walk where she sticks out one hip to the side and walks. It is hilarious! I don't know where she comes up with this stuff!

Side note: It was really bright out today, so my little camera, apparently, couldn't handle all the brightness. :)

The New Bed

As Ella's so tall, she's been looking a little cramped in her little toddler bed. She moved into a new full sized bed tonight. It was bittersweet. She looks like such a big girl now in her big bed. She was so excited!

It was nice being able to get in bed with her to read books and say prayers. That little toddler bed was getting a little small for daddy and me too!

Ella's first night went great! She's a little used to sleeping with me since that's how we slept while on our trip, so that was a little hard to break, but otherwise things were smooth sailing.

What a big night for my big girl!

Our Trip To Boston

Just a few pictures. We had a nice time seeing family, meeting our new niece, and riding the subway and exploring Boston. Ella loved the aquarium.

The kids enjoyed being in the hotel. Ella swam in the pool every time we were there - she is a complete fish in water!

William enjoyed being out of the car after the long ride and exploring the hotel room - and of course, wrestling with Pa. :)
and sitting in a drawer...
Ella playing with her cousin...
The family at church after the baptism...

Hopefully we'll get to go on another vacation soon. The kids were really good in the hotel and traveling, for the most part. :)
