Footprint Snowmen

This craft was so fun to do! Ella said it was her favorite one of the day! :)

First she let me paint her feet white and stamp them on construction paper.

Then she added some stick arms to her snowmen.
She added some foam mittens I'd cut out, some scarves (ribbon), googly eyes, a black hat, carrot nose, and Ella drew a smile and buttons.
Then she sponge painted on snow.
And used her fingerprint to add some snowflakes in the sky. :)

How adorable is this? :)

Handprint Santa Claus

This craft was so fun to make! Ella is all about getting her hands and feet painted now. It's great! She gets so excited for these crafts!

So first I painted her hand with white paint. She told me how cold it was. :)

Then she put down some glue drops for googly eyes. (We love the googly eyes:))
I cut out a foam Santa hat and Ella glued it on.
She used her fingertips to add pink cheeks and a little red nose.

We also pulled apart a cotton ball and Ella glued it on the rim of Santa's hat.

Then, of course, Ella drew a big happy smile on Santa. :)
I love this! I think it is so darn cute.

Decorated Christmas Tree Craft

Ella and I were on a roll with crafts today. She kept asking "what can we make now?" We worked on crafts for almost an hour and a half!

This was another easy, fun craft that didn't take much instruction on my part.

I cut out a green Christmas tree and Ella glued it on a piece of construction paper. I also cut out a tree trunk and star for her to glue on. Then Ella went to town decorating her tree.

First she used different colored paints to add ornaments with her fingerprints.
Then she added some poofs, jewels, and stars.

I added some silver glitter glue garland to her tree and she added some more "ornaments" to the garland.

How cute is this? :)

Glittery Star Ornament

This was a quick, easy Christmas craft.

Ella glued popsicle sticks together to form a star...
She was very good at this!
Once fairly dry, she lined the sticks with glue and sprinkled pretty, sparkly, silver glitter all over her star.
So pretty! Tomorrow we'll attach some string and hang it on the tree.

Cute little handmade ornament we'll have for years to come! :)

Cinnamon Gingerbread Man

Ella made this yummy smelling gingerbread man today.

She painted a coloring sheet...
Then sprinkled cinnamon all over the wet paint...
Then glued on his buttons, etc.

And there he is! Not only is he cute, but he smells soo good! :)

Setting up the tree...

Before I get to the tree pictures, here's one of my sweet, sick little boy. We all have awful colds, coughs, and sore throats, but poor William also has an ear infection complete with goopy eyes and a runny nose.

I just love this boy! Sick and all.
Ella enjoyed putting on the ornaments.
It's become tradition that every year Ella gets to put the star on top. Not sure what we'll do next year!
But William still got a peak!
The pretty star.
My sweet boy.
Changing some ornaments around.
There's that concentration tongue.

Ella really, really enjoyed getting all the ornaments and decorations out. Our house is now well on its way to being christmas-ified. :)

On another note we've been talking about the true meaning of Christmas, and tonight Ella was very inquisitive as we lit our own (paper) advent wreath. I'm finding it hard to explain heaven and Jesus coming to save the world, etc. It's taken Ella over an hour to go to sleep tonight (out of bed multiple times) because she keeps talking about the things we talked about earlier. How do you explain this to a very inquisitive three year old?

Breakfast With Santa

We had a nice morning, aside from poor William not feeling well. He was onto another ear infection and his eyes were all puffy and swollen. Poor thing.
It almost doesn't even look like my little boy.
Aw, aren't they cute?
This is William dancing. :)
Ella having fun.
Me and my boy. :)

Daddy and William had to leave early for the doctor, so we didn't get a picture with Santa on our camera.

I just love this time of year - there's so many fun things to do. :)
