Well, I've finally jumped on the blog bandwagon. I wish I had had the time (and energy!) to start this even before Miss E was born. SO much has happened in the past 7 months, though much of the first 3-4 months were a blur. Between Miss E's early weightloss and trip back to the hospital at 11 days old, her spitting up and possible milk intolerance, and her 3-4hr screaming fits every night, it's been very stressful! I kept hearing people say "The first three months are the hardest," though for me I think it was more like the first five or six months. Things have JUST recently gotten "easy" if I can really say that. Miss E's been sitting independently since a little after her 5 month birthday, which means she can sit on the floor and play with her toys independently. She's also been sleeping through the night consistently since around five months as well. In fact, last night she slept 12 hrs straight! From 8:15pm - 8:20am. It was heaven!!
Miss E really is such a good little girl. She tends to be a very serious baby though -- she studies her toys, my necklace, the waterbottle..anything really..soooo carefully. The PT told me how impressive it was how Miss E studies things so carefully and how she is really advanced even with her grasping skills. She reaches and picks up toys, transfers to the other hand, flips them around. So that is pretty cool. It made me feel better about her whole refusal to roll over (tummy to back) until a few days before her 7 month birthday! I think she just might take after her daddy. She's VERY content to just hang out on her back and suck on her toes. She's in no rush to get moving. I'll be very, very happy if she keeps this relaxed personality!!
Sweet little thing is napping now. I really don't know how we got along before her. Life truly is SO much better with her in it. :)
