2 Years Ago Today

I hate that time goes by so quickly. I want to slow time down. My babies are growing up way too fast.

Two years ago my life changed forever. I never knew having a little boy could be so wonderful. He has added so much to my life.

Less than thirty minutes old...
Teeny, tiny fingers...
Asleep on mommy. Boy do I miss those days.
Williams first ride in the carseat.
Already getting love from big sis. She has loved him since the day he was born. You can see the pride in her eyes. :)

Not a day goes by that I don't thank God for my two little blessings.

Happy 2nd Birthday Baby!

We visited Nana and Pa and celebrated William's birthday.

Apparently the Easter Bunny got confused...he stopped at Nana and Pa's house and left baskets and hid eggs!
They love hunting for eggs. :)

Such fun!
Yummy!
And a little cake to celebrate, of course. William loves blowing out candles. It's a bit more like spitting, but it still does the job. ;)
Eating cake, William style. :)
...and opening a few presents.

Love.

Sleeping Angel

Isn't she just sweet as candy? She fights me on taking afternoon naps---yet she needs them---badly... and this is how she often falls asleep; book open in her hands. She can be such a fighter at this wonderful age, but looking at her so peaceful and angelic fast asleep makes me remember that as tough as she can be at times, she's still just a baby. She's sweet, she's loving, she's funny, she's mine. I love her so much.

Mowing Fun

William got a bubble mower for his birthday and the kids love it!

He looks like a little man out there walking back and forth in the grass. :)

They were so sweet too. Both wanted to use the mower, but they were both so good at taking turns. Made me proud!

Happy Easter!

The kids had a nice Easter. My sinus headache was back, unfortunately, so I was not behind the camera all day.

The Easter Bunny came!
My cuties. :)
Searching for eggs!
Found one!
Going through their eggs and baskets.
Later, Dave and the kids celebrated Easter and William's second birthday with his side of the family.
Blowing candles out, and getting a kiss from big sis. Awww..

Opening presents...
I think the kids had a very fun Easter. :)

Easter Egg Hunt at the Outlets

It seems like it's been raining nonstop this entire month of April. The weather didn't look good this morning, but it ended up being sunny and mild! We went to the outlets where the kids went from store to store to collect eggs. It was fun! We also got to visit with the Easter Bunny!

William wouldn't go near the bunny. There was no way. So instead, it was me and Ella.
Then I asked Ella if she wanted to sit on the bunny's lap by herself and she did! Definitely an improvement from last year. :)
My beautiful little girl.
Sweet William.

We were out all morning and early afternoon, but guess who fell asleep on the drive home?

William did not fall asleep. It's funny. Ella's always been able to nap in the car whereas William never has.

We had a fun and tiring morning, but we were still ready to play outside in the beautiful weather once we got home.

Love days like these.

Bubble Fun!

Today was such a beautiful we spent the afternoon playing outside.

....and playing with bubbles!

I just love these pictures of William. He was having so much fun with the bubbles and I was making him laugh by pretending to be attacked by them. He just looks so happy!! I love it!

I was able to get a picture or two of Ella too. :)

Ella's trickier. She doesn't stay still long enough for me to get a picture of her face. Instead I get too many pictures of the back of her head.

I know I say this a lot, but it never hurts to remind myself again. I am one lucky mama.

My Almost 2 Year Old

Why am I having such a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that my little baby is about to turn two? He's still such a baby. Even at almost 33 lbs. :) His language has started to explode in the past week. He's saying a ton now, which is exciting and relieving. These last two years have absolutely flown. And truthfully, it does make me a bit sad to soon be celebrating my baby's second birthday.
How grown up does he look?! Not much like a baby, but much more like a little boy. :(
We took the kids to the open gym tonight at Gymboree and Ella took a name tag and wrote her name. William, of course, then had to do the same. I look at his name that he wrote and it just makes me go awww... he is so, so sweet. He loves his big sister so much. And he gives me these wonderful hugs and sweet, sweet kisses. He's now smacking his lips when he kisses, and I absolutely melt!

I love my baby so much. Please don't grow up too fast.

Little Artist

Ella loves to paint.
She loves Maisy books too, and I've had this Easter Maisy book since she was a baby, just waiting until she was old enough to actually be able to do this.

Added bonus is that painting is an independent activity, aside from the every five seconds of mommy, look at this and mommy look at that. :)

Ella Flower

I love this craft!!! Not only is it beautiful, but it was made using Ella's hands, arm, palm, and feet.
I am so in love with this flower. :)

Easter Bunny

Ella was in the mood to make some crafts today (yeah!) so she put this cute little bunny together.
She was having fun. :)
I love it! She glued every little piece on all by herself and I think her little unique bunny is just adorable --- just like her!

As soon as he's dry I'm going to glue a magnet to the back. He'll look just adorable on our refrigerator. :)
