Nana & Pa = Spoiling!

Ella has a new fun thing she loves to do with Nana and Pa. :)

Pa's turn!

Can you see me walking around the house with Ella on my shoulders?

And one of cute little William with quite the grip on his little bug!

Happy Friday!

A Pro!

William sure is getting to be a pro at tummy time! And Ella really enjoys demonstrating tummy time with him, showing him her toys, and showing him how to roll over too.

She gets right down on the floor with him.

A happy face during tummy time!

And a little drool.

Making friends with his little purple fox. :)

Check out the bum!

Too cute. :)

Feet!

Mmm...! My little monkey before her nap.

She's very flexible!

Yum. :) She's not smiling, but she was making me laugh!

And....

Who would think such a sweet little face could terrorize his mommy so much at nap time? Little boy only has his pacifier (or binky as Daddy likes to call it) during naps and bedtime, yet somehow, he seems to be growing reliant on it. It settles him down really well, but many times he'll wake after dropping it out of his mouth and get really, really upset.

Not fun.

Dress Up

Is it halloween already? I bought this after halloween at Target last October for crazy cheap. We thought today would be a fun day to bring it out and play. :)

And playing...

There's more where this came from!

Art Expression

Art projects with a 2 year old don't always go well or the way I planned. I'm learning to be flexible and just let Ella have fun exploring with different mediums.

When my stamping activity didn't go as planned, I turned to glue knowing it would be a hit. Ella LOVES glue! She went crazy globbing it all over her paper. She loved it.

Then she sprinkled glitter...and went a little crazy with that too. :)

Our finished project.

What a good mommy!

Ella really is sweet. I often catch her holding her babies and rocking them and patting their backs like she sees me do with William. She also gives her baby kisses which I find so adorable.

Here is Ella reading to her babies. She lined the three up in her chair and started reading to them.

And showing her babies the pictures in the book (even though the book is upside down!). :)

After reading the book she climbed into the chair to sit with her babies. Aww..

Then she wanted William to sit with her, so she scooched herself over to one side so he had room to squeeze in. It's funny that my 3 month old is half the weight of my 2 year old. :)

And I think this picture is so cute, seeing the way William is looking at his sister. He was just watching her so carefully.

William usually has a wet spot on his head too. Slobber left from Ella's kisses. :)

When things are hard, (because yes! I do have hard days too!) I have to remember to keep things in perspective and remember how very blessed I am to have two sweet children and a supportive, involved, loving husband.

Happy 3 Months!

3 months and 13 weeks old. The time is really flying by.

What a smile!!!

Loving the tongue hanging out! He must get it from his sister. ;)

:)

Excited for what lies ahead...

Mmm... cupcakes...

Remember I mentioned Ella has to get eye drops for her eye infection? Well, it is not an easy task by any means. She shuts her eyes tight and squirms and bats at our arms and screams a bit too. Very unpleasant. So we've resorted to bribery. We have mini cupcakes for her if she allows us to get the drops in her eyes. Only one a day though. We tried it tonight for the first time and she was pretty excited about it. Whenever we ask what she wants to eat, her answer is always "cake!" urgh...

But she's so darn cute.. :)

Not sure why she thought she couldn't use her hands...

Hoping this helps, even though I'm definitely not proud of having to bribe my 2-year old with sweets! But we really need her eye infection cleared up. Poor baby.

A Relaxing Sunday

Just hanging out reading the newspaper... :)

Checking out the cvs deals of the week...

Something must of caught her eye! She was studying this page hard!

Ella makes us laugh so much.

2 years 1 month

Little sweetie is 25 months today on the 25th. We had a busy day running necessary errands. It was rainy and cooler and all four of us enjoyed a nice afternoon nap.

My little sweetheart. Notice her really red eyes? Poor thing has an eye infection. We picked up her eye drops tonight. They look so sore, but not much seems to bother her.

William and Ella practicing tummy time. Ella likes to demonstrate for William. She's usually on the floor with William during his tummy time, playing with toys in front of him to get him to look up. And three months later, her lips are still constantly on him. It's still cute too. She loves him so much and William really seems to love Ella too. Whenever she gets in his face to talk to him or kiss him, he usually gives her a nice big smile.

He's getting stronger and stronger!

Have a great weekend.

24 month check up!

Ella had her 24 month dr visit today and boy do we grow tall babies!

Height: 36 1/2 " 97th %, up 3 1/2 inches since her 18 month visit
Weight: 32 lbs 14 oz 95th %, up 6lbs 2oz since 18 months

WOW! She is flourishing! We are thrilled, especially considering she had such a hard start losing so much weight and not getting enough milk in the beginning.

Ella also got her MMR vaccine today and she totally surprised me by not being bothered by it at all. No tears, no screams. The nurse even commented that she didn't even flinch. She took it like a champ! I am so proud! I think I was much more nervous and upset about it than she. My little trouper. :)

And now for some Thursday pictures!

William trying out his bumbo seat for the first time. He fits it well!

And I think he enjoyed his new upright position. :) And yes, he sat on the kitchen table while I ate my lunch.

And Ella in the bumbo. :) Do you think she still fits? Apparently she thinks so..though she had just a little trouble getting out of it. Haha.

And me with my little baby boy. Love him, love him, love him.

I love my little family of four. I'm pretty sure I have the two greatest kids. :)

Sleeping Angels

I am in awe that both babes were in bed and asleep by 8:15pm tonight. :) :) :) Dave and I both got to exercise and now have time to relax together. Ahhh..!!!

Our little burrito sleeping peacefully. He puts himself to sleep now. Goes into his crib awake and puts himself to sleep. Wow. How incredible is that!? And he's only 12 weeks old...

Sweet little girl. This is how Ella often falls asleep; with her arms hugging her babies or stuffed animals. My heart overflows!!

We are now returning at last, to normal. A new kind of normal. The kids are on a more predictable schedule and we're finally getting some good sleep. Things are good. Things are really, really good.

12 Weeks Today!

My little cutie is 12 weeks old today! Where is the time going? He is seriously the most smiley baby!

And some more love from big sis... :)

I'm a mommy of two... wow. It still doesn't seem real.
