William is 1 month old today

My precious little boy is 1 month old already. It is so hard to believe one month has passed already. In one month he has started cooing, socially smiling and responds to my voice with a big, huge smile. He tracks toys too and is sleeping the occasional 5-6 hr stretch at night.

Such tiny little hands.

Ella would stay outside all day if it were up to her!

Cooling off on a hot afternoon.. :)

Chalk fun!

It's also very hard to believe that my sweet little Ella is going to be 2 years old next month! Where does the time go??

We went to a parade...both Ella and William's first parade! We had fun!

First Smiles

This past week William's been smiling a lot! It's also not the gas related smiles, but the beginnings of real, happy smiles! :) He looks at me and smiles in response to my voice--it is just precious. I tried capturing the smiles on camera...

Ella's First Pigtails!

I haven't been too interested in putting Ella's hair in pigtails...I always thought they make babies look older, and I wasn't ready for that! But I decided to try today as her hair is getting pretty long!

She looks darn cute if I may say so!

It was hard to get a good picture, so here's the back!

My little girl is growing up...

Our weekend in pictures

This weekend was tons of fun. We spent so much time together as a family, it felt very refreshing. :)

Saturday Ella wanted to go for a ride in the stroller so off we went for a nice walk around the neighborhood.

We stopped at the pond and saw the ducks! We even brought some bread to feed the ducks, so Ella got up close and personal with the four ducks.

This is Ella waving to the ducks. She waves to everyone!

After feeding the ducks we played on the playground a little, going on the slides over and over and over. Daddy and mommy each got turns going down the twisty slides with Ella.

It had gotten so late it was time to head home, but as you can see, Ella was not to have to leave!

Sunday we headed to another park--one we'd never been to, and it was so much fun! We saw more ducks too and there was a fun bridge over the water.

Ella and mommy on a picnic table.

There was also a playground that we had to check out. More slides...

and swings... (she didn't want to get off!)

and tun tunnels to climb through.

Little William hardly made a peep during our "outings" and slept almost the entire time we were out and about. :)

Busy Bees

2 kids are definitely a LOT more work than one! I feel like we just got the hang of one baby and now we've thrown another one in the mix! William's a pretty laid back baby, but the middle of the night feedings are starting to drain me. Ella's so active during the day, it's hard to give her as much attention as I really want to. Hopefully soon things will get more into a routine and settle down for us.

Sweet baby boy napping.

Ella just adores her little brother. She always gets right down on the floor with him during tummy time and even brings toys over to him to help me encourage him to lift his head. She's just too sweet!

Walking around the house wearing daddy's sandals. She didn't even need a hand to hold walking around in them!

Ella really enjoys the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle, so after reading it today we decided to try making our own handprint butterfly. Ella was a little leary still, about getting her hands all covered in paint, but she laughed when I helped rub her hand all around. I think her butterfly turned out pretty cute. :)

I wonder what tomorrow will bring. :)

Baby boy's first bath

The little boy was so calm, totally peaceful in his little bath. :) Isn't he so cute? He makes the funniest faces too.

And a couple others just because... :)

My beautiful girl.

Ahh... love... :)

Kisses, kisses, and more kisses!!

The little girl can't keep her lips off her little brother! :)

I couldn't be any happier this Mother's Day. What a gift to have two precious children.
