I love this little thing

Ella's latest LOVES... :)

* peekaboo.
* running from me or her daddy when we put our hands up in the air and tell her "I'm gonna get you!".
* when I jump out at her, yell "I got you!" grab her and twirl her around in the air.
* feeding herself. Ella no longer allows me to spoon feed her, but insists on using the spoon herself (or using her fingers). Makes for a messy time, but really, who cares? She's learning!
* to be tickled!
* her books. All books. Any books. She cannot get enough of her books. And she still loves pulling books off the shelf.
* making new friends. At the library, at the store... older kids (3 or 4 year olds) seem to love playing with her and "teaching" her.
* throwing food off the side of her high chair....carefully watching me to see if I notice. (She tries to be sneaky!)
* greeting her daddy when he gets home.
* playing with (and trying to eat) chalk.

How can you not love this face?

Day in the Park

Poor munchkin came down with a terrible fever last week. It reached 105.5! Needless to say, it was a tough week with her feeling so bad and being unhappy, and whining and crying all the time. By Saturday though, her fever was gone. In its place was a yucky heat rash. All over her little body. It didn't seem to bother her though. So we went to a new park, explored and had some fun! And today, though she still has the rash, she seems back to her old happy self!

My Cutie

My little munchkin had fun weekend. She visited with her daddy's side of the family and enjoyed her time with them! She is so curious, and especially liked watching the older kids and trying to figure out what they were up to. Today we went to the park with her friend Danica. She wouldn't stay on the blanket though! Instead she was running all over the place!

12 month stats

I forgot to post on Ella's 12 month stats back on June 27. Here they are!
Weight: 21 lbs 8 oz (50th %)
Height: 29 1/2 " (75th %)
HC: 18" (75th %)

I can't believe she gained almost 5lbs in 3 months! She's doing so well! She did really well with the shots too. She gave a short scream but was over it pretty fast. It's more traumatic for me, I think!

Busy Girl

It is really, really hot outside today, but Ella and I decided to play outside anyway. After slathering on the sunscreen, off we went!

She's so curious about everything, it's so sweet.

She's now almost running all over the place!

And off she goes again! (Check out the rolls in the legs!)
