Dress Up & The Chicken

Not only did Ella and I (and William) play dress up today, but she also learned the chicken dance!

We had so much fun. It's now become a tradition to have a "dance party" after dinner every night. We put on some fun dance music and go crazy in the living room. Ella's got some pretty good moves I must say! :)

Easter Egg Match Up

Ella played a new game I made her before dinner tonight: Easter egg match up!

She does really, really well. She still confuses p and q, and u and q, but that's it! I think it's pretty awesome.

And she's still able to rhyme! I'm amazed! We read lots of rhyming books and when I give her one word she can give the word that rhymes with it from the book. She can also makes up her own rhyme to go with the word I give her. I am so impressed! I know a lot of first graders struggle with rhymes, so this is exciting. My smart little cookie!

Preschool Day

Ella and I went to a preschool this morning to observe and participate and decide whether or not that's the school where we want to send Ella in the Fall. She had so much fun! The teachers were really nice and inclusive of Ella, and I was happy to see Ella jump right in after only about five minutes. She participated in everything with the kids, and also made this craft. The kids were learning about the letter R, so they painted this rainbow using little cars through paint.

We ended up staying the entire two hours. I think Ella really enjoyed herself. I think we've found the place for her. It's 5 minutes from home, and it'll be good for Ella to become more independent without mommy. It breaks my heart a little to send her off to school, but I know it'll be good for her and she'll be in good hands.

Ella's Fortress

Ella had fun playing in and reading in the little fortress daddy made her before dinner.

She even had a little flashlight in there and everything. She wanted me to come in and read to her, but space was a little tight. :) Tomorrow we'll have to build a bigger fort!

Look What's Cookin'!

Someone's birthday is coming and we're getting ready!!

Science Center Visit

Ella had so much fun at the science center! We walked around for over 2 hours!

This is how William rode most of the time.

And of course Pink Baby was there too!

Dress up time!

She loved the big ball pit!

Playing the drums...

Reaching high for the ball...

Making gears...

She's already said she wants to go back sometime. :)

Snowman Dress up

I can't remember what site I took this from, but Ella enjoyed this. (She loves her Melissa and Dough dress up bear family and magnetic Maggie Leigh doll, so I knew she'd love this. I laminated a snowman with three different hats and scarves and Ella dressed up the snowman, putting different hats and scarves on him. We're going to try to make more pieces for him and put magnets on the backs so Ella can play with him on a magnetic back.

Cute stuff.
