William turned 7 months old today.... my how time goes fast. I honestly don't know where these past seven months have gone.
He is getting to be so much fun though! I love this age!
William wasn't allowing his sign in the picture though.. this was the best. Most of them involved him grabbing it or eating it. :)
He is so darn happy! I just love the big open mouthed, toothless smiles!

Babble, babble, babble
William is constantly talking now. He's recently started really babbling in the past week or so. He's saying momomom and bababa all day long it seems. It is the sweetest thing! I watch his little mouth opening and closing and I can tell he's trying hard to talk and get things out. This is such an exciting time! All these firsts!
William is also doing really well with his solids. So far he eats:
peas
carrots
green beans
pears
bananas
He loves bananas! I made a bunch of pea, carrot and sweet potato purees for him today. He goes through my little jars really quickly. I think he's going to be a big eater...! I'm planning to introduce sweet potato tomorrow or Thursday. So fun!

Watercolor Turkeys
We brought back out the watercolor paints today. I traced Ella's hand and she painted feathers on her turkey.
I'm trying really, really hard to get her to use other colors other than black! Black, she says, is her favorite color right now.
And she's working on staying in the lines. I think she's doing pretty well!

Finished at last!
Ella was reluctant to lace this turkey for some reason. She started it one day, then wanted no more...rather, she wanted mommy to finish lacing. I didn't and decided to wait until she was ready to finish it herself. Today was the day!
Lacing day one...
...and three days later she finished it and had fun gluing down the parts again and stuffing the turkey!!
So now we have a new decoration for our door.
Gobble, gobble!

Who is this big girl?
Ella is now refusing to sit in her booster seat, so she's on a "normal" chair!
So much is changing for Ella right now....figuring out the potty training business too! Perhaps that explains why she's getting up at 5:30am now. I hope we can get her fully trained soon so she goes back to sleeping until 7!

A Box = Simple Entertainment
We often forget as adults, the simple joys in life. Who would have thought a box could be so much fun?
Ella and William happily played together in this box for about 25 minutes today! It was pretty smashed by the time they were done... they got their fun out of it that's for sure!
This is a fun, familiar game for Ella, but a totally new one for William!
Ella showed him the ropes...and brought all her cars in with them!
Ella was tickling William by driving the car on his legs.
But William really just wanted to gnaw on the cars.
And some more brother/sister love...
Ahhh. :)

Coffee Filter Turkeys
Ella loves markers so this was a fun project for her. She colored her coffee filter (though she's really into black lately!) and I traced her foot (and also traced Williams). We lightly sprayed some water on the filters to make the colors run and Ella glued the turkey parts onto the body.
Of course I made Williams on the right. It's so cute to see how itty bitty their feet are!
Ella's always excited to show daddy after we finish our projects. She's so proud of her work. :)

Turkey Feathers
We skipped our morning art project and this afternoon after Ella's nap she was saying "art project" to me, so I figured we had to make something. I'm so happy she enjoys making things with me!
First I traced her foot. Here she is gluing it down to paper to serve as the turkey's body.
And of course, adding the much needed googly eyes..
And adding the colored feather pieces around her turkey.
I laid one color strip down to show her how it was done, but she did all the rest. I think she did a remarkable job! They're pretty straight!
And we also added some cute little feet. Gotta have the little turkey feet!
Pretty cute, eh? Gobble, gobble!

Little Fish
The little ones had a bath together tonight. It's so cute the way Ella fawns over William. She gets right in his face with a big smile on her face and talks to him in this little cutsey voice.
Oh this face that I love!
Her people love to go swimming.
Daddy was taking pictures of William but look who snuck into this pic! :)
Our little water bug.
These two bring huge smiles to my face.

Oh the Toilet Roll...
Ella had such fun making the toilet roll turkey yesterday that we decided to make another today.
First I traced her tiny little hands...
Then she used teh bow to sponge paint her hands red, orange and green.
I cut them out later and she helped me glue on the hands, googly eyes (she loves googly eyes!), the beak and the giblet. If we keep going we're soon going to have a whole family of toilet roll turkeys!
While we had the paint out, we also made a handprint turkey. Ella's still not too keen on getting paint on herself, so I couldn't talk her into letting me paint the other hand. She did like gluing on the googly eye, beak, giblet and legs though.
Maybe next year she'll have fun adding more to this picture.
